Fashion Show:

Students in the 7th grade worked in pairs to design and carry out a fashion show that included vocabulary related to clothing, colors and that used the verb LLEVAR and other similar verbs to describe their partner and what they were wearing. On the day, students wore their show outfits and narrated each other as they showed off the different styles and colors of clothing.

Poetry Anthology:

The 11th graders worked to do a poetry anthology that was a mix of prompts, some done in class and some at home. Music, sitting outside in nature, photographs and paintings, songs and words inspired the students to take their creativity to the next level and create works of art. Revising was a major component of this project and students honed their peer editing skills and edited each poem that entered the final anthology a minimum of 3 times. Additionally, they wrote dedications for their part of the work that also appears in the final copy.

Family Tree:

Students in the 7th grade put together family trees that explained their families of origin. They narrated information about at least 10 family members and were able to say what relation they were to that person, where that person lives and at least 1 other piece of information about the person. The product is a poster that shows the map of their origin and explains themselves in Spanish.
